MEP - Multi-engine aircraft

MEP is a qualification category allowing to perform flights on multi-engine aircrafts.

The goal of the training is to familiarize the pilot with flying on a multi-engine type of aircraft. Engine failure training, thrust asymmetry management and other actions related to the multi-engine type of aircraft are trained.

This part of the training is essential for all professional pilots and also for pilots who have flying as a hobby.

Theoretical teaching

Teoretickú časť výcviku tvorí 7 vyučovacích hodín pre výcvik MEP VFR a pre MEP IFR je žiak zaradený do kurzu ATPL (A) Teória alebo IR(A) – Prístrojová kvalifikácia.
Theory is taught in our premises at the airport in Košice.
The result of the preparation is a theoretical examination at the Transport Office in Bratislava.
Each client has their own E-learning account available for thorough preparation for the theoretical exam.

ATPL Theory

ATPL Theory ATPL is a certificate of competence of a transport pilot of airplanes. The condition for obtaining it is the successful completion of tests at the Aviation Authority. The course is focused on theoretical teaching. The minimum age for starting theoretical education is 17 years. Teaching takes…

IR (A) – Instrument qualification

IR (A) – Instrument qualification IR is the training of pilots for the needs of flights under IFR rules under meteorological conditions for flight under IMC instruments. The basis of training is instrument flying together with increased requirements for piloting technique. There is practical training for instrument approaches…

Practical teaching

MEP training under the VFR conditions

The practical part of the training consists of at least 6 flight hours.

MEP training under the IFR conditions

The practical part of the training consists of at least 15 flight hours and 40 hours on the FNPT2.
Before the first flight, a physical familiarization with the aircraft is carried out at one of our airports according to the manual for the given type of aircraft.
After proving knowledge of the aircraft manual, the student can start flying with the instructors according to the individual steps.
1. step
Basics of piloting technique
2. step
Normal procedures training
3. step
Emergency procedures training
4. step
Piloting technique improvement
5. step
Engine failure training (asymmetric thrust)
6. step
Examination by the flight school
7. step
Examination by an inspector from the Transport Office
Final
Obtaining qualification for multi-engine aircrafts
