MEPs under IFR

MEP is a qualification category allowing flights to be carried out on multi-engine aeroplanes.

The aim of the training is to familiarize the pilot with flying on a multi-engine type of aircraft. Training of engine landing, manipulation of thrust asymmetry and other actions related to the multi-engine type of aircraft.

This part of the training is essential for all professional pilots and also for pilots who have flown as a hobby.

Under VFR conditions, the practical part consists of at least 6 flight hours.

Under IFR conditions of at least 15 flight hours and 40 hours of FNPT2 simulator.

Minimum requirements

Age of the applicant

To start the training, the applicant must be a holder of a PPL (A) + VFR NIGHT + MEP VFR + ICAO English

Minimum age for PPL (A)

To start training, the applicant must hold a medical qualification of at least 2nd class plus audiometry

Theoretical training

Part of the study of a 7 hour study before the MEP VFR training and before the MEP IFR the pupil is subjected to the course ATPL (A) Theory or IR (A) — Instrumental qualification.

Teoretical classes are organized in our premises at the airport in Košice.

The result of the preparation is a theoretical examination at the Office Transport in Bratislava. For a thorough preparation of the theoretical exam, each client has their own e-Learning account at their disposal.
